Read the Bible in a Year – Day 48

At the conclusion of yesterday’s text (Numbers 13) the scouts returned from the promised land with good news, the land was flowing with milk and honey. They also brought distressing news; the cities were large, well fortified and the people that lived there were powerful! Today’s text begins in in Numbers 14 with the Israelites once again crying out “if only we had stayed in Egypt.” Read the Lord’s response to the Israelites complaints in the remainder of chapter 14. Chapter 15 details different types of offerings, a man is stoned to death for breaking the sabbath and instructions for wearing tassels. You can find the text at;
