Read the Bible in a Year – Day 29

Day 29’s text comes from Exodus 33-35 and details the Lord’s disappointment with the Israelites after the Golden Calf incident. The Lord instructs Moses to leave their current location and prepare to go to the promised land. He tells Moses He will send an angle with them, saying “But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way.” Moses then speaks on behalf of the Israelites and asks the Lord to allow him to see the Glory of the Lord. Later the Lord provides new tablets and today’s text ends with Bezalel and Oholiab being appointed to build the Tabernacle. You can find the text at:

Things to Ponder from Day 29

From the aftermath of the Golden Calf incident Moses repeatedly intercedes on behalf of the Israelites. Does Moses get the Lord to change his mind?
